Spotify links with Windows Mobiles

October 4, 2010 6:00pm

Microsoft have jumped on the Spotify bandwagon after finally securing the licensing and compatibility of a special Spotify app for their range of Windows handsets.
The app which is available today [October 4] has reportedly been built from the ground up especially for the special Windows Phone 7 operating system. Allowing the famed software and over all media conglomerate to join the same spotify ranks of major rivals such as Apple and Google who both feaure the app on their own handsets.
Good news in some ways that Spotify is growing and spreading its commercial wings but at the same time one does wonder if the software is becoming close to market saturation. It doesn’t really strike me as something that can plausibly develop much further as a music only software, unless maybe they too in the near future bring out a handset or better, a spotify for film and tv that crosses multiple nations. I wonder....
