How to buy a laptop

1. If all you want is internet access and word then you really don’t need to spend over £300. Ignore the salesperson.
2. Check out lesser known brands like Acer and Asus, they are just as good as the big names like HP and Sony and far easier on your wallet.
3. Test before you buy. Have a play with the keyboard, mouse pad, screen. Check it is up to scratch.
4. Get a laptop that already has software included or haggle with the salesperson to throw it in. If you don’t you could be looking to spend more than a £100 on top of the laptop asking price just to get it up to standard.
